Naija nor get Problem.

I know it's sounds funny that Nigeria doesn't have  a problem but it's true. Often times, I wonder who is Nigeria? Because you will say stuffs like "e nor fit better for naija again. Omo, make I make money gbaga commot this country sef"
but truly who is Nigeria if not individual YOU and I?

An average Nigeria does not trust you, it's what the culture and tradition imbibe in us. It's true though, not to trust nobody but it isn't a mantra anybody should take too serious.
You fear your next door neighbour will kill you ,yet do you know if the garri you had made into Eba and smiling at you right there on your table is from that same Mama Gbadebo you would never greet?
"What goes around, comes around"

I wonder seriously, while I had never heard a witch craft confession like

"That boy in USA, I used my witch to take him there so he can make it. The girl on the next street, I used my witch to give her miraculous job."

But I hear things like;

"I killed Iya Soliu's son because he corrected my daughter for wearing the wrong shoes"
Haba!  It's obvious our problems are fears and insecurities among ourselves based on all these confessions.
Who wouldn't want to be careful and save? This I perfectly understand, but do you not know that what you run from ends up killing you?

This explains the Yoruba proverb
"Igba wo ni kokumo o ni ku?" Meaning that when will Kokumo (a Yoruba name: this one would not die again) not die?
Meaning death is an inevitable thing.

Nitoripe oruko re nje Folorunsho ko so pe ko fi okun ogede fi gungi ope
That you are named Folorunsho (This one is watched over by God) doesn't mean you can climb a palm tree using plantain's branch.
Meaning, you shouldn't take anything for granted.

Love your neighbour as yourself, live like today would be your last and do unto others what you want done to you.
This culture teaches to appease God and gods, but I did not say you must appease these gods to end this misunderstandings, rather lets appease one another like we got each others back as these gods were once humans too.
We don't love one another neither do we love our country enough. Everybody leaves then who stays? You suspect your next door neighbours, how do you intend to love those even far off? Then the kids grow up this way too, suspecting every other person that passes, and the cycle continues.

So, you see? We don't have problems, just misunderstanding of our culture and tradition.

  1. This is more related to loving one another but the main topic, does Nigeria have a problem. For me and many other there is a huge problem. In the political view yes,in the economy yes, in the organisation yes,in ethnicity yes, human right yes,the law agencies yes,so many yes yes yes. Only in the wing of love for ourselves,we only need to be more loving, helpful and useful to the nation been in togetherness. But generally YES, Nigeria has a very enormous problem.

  2. Where do you think the problems stem from? No problem became a problem without a root. If we understand loving ourselves and working in togetherness and conclude our Anthem in Peace and Unity truly then we don't have a problem.
    Thanks for the comment.

  3. I strongly believe nigeria has problem.. Even with the individuals there's problem, which evidently cannot be solved in one day. But just like the saying goes("it begins with you"), so one can only play their part in his/her own little way to effect positive change and leave others to do theirs if it so pleases them.
